Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (“JOGMEC”) is pleased to announce that the JOGMEC Techno Forum 2014 will be held once again on November 26 and November 27, 2014 in Tokyo.

Last year's event was attended by numerous participants from a wide range of industries, including resource development, engineering services, materials, IT, electronics, and research centers. The Forum ended on a high note with more than 650 participants, far more than the 500 initially expected.

Hoping to attract a large number of participants once again, we are making Techno Forum 2014 an event filled with exciting programs. In recent years, oil and gas industries have witnessed increasing development of both conventional and unconventional natural resources. Today, gas fields with high concentration of carbon dioxide, extra heavy oil fields, and deepwater oil fields require advanced technologies for their commercial success. Working jointly with a number of private companies, this year's JOGMEC Techno Forum will deliver dynamic lectures and exhibitions, featuring the state-of-the-art Japanese technologies that will provide solutions to today’s challenges in oil and gas industries.

JOGMEC Techno Forum 2014 is part of our new “Technical Solutions Project” that was launched last year. The Forum acts as the crossroads for technological needs of oil and gas producing countries and some of Japanese industry’s most advanced, cutting-edge technologies. This year’s Forum will break traditional barriers to create new business opportunities, bringing together oil and gas producing countries with Japanese companies from a wide spectrum of industries to create new technological synergies.

We hope that many organizations, both familiar and new, will come to the JOGMEC Techno Forum 2014, where the door to new business opportunities opens. This is an opportunity for participants to learn about our “Technical Solutions Project,” to engage in the creation of future innovative solutions, and envision their future deployment to overcome some of today’s technological challenges in oil and gas industries.

We look forward to seeing you at the JOGMEC Techno Forum 2014.
